places, but never in one of such enchantment. Thank you Virginia
for providing a place of joy and beauty.

Four weary travellers happened along
and came across your home - Bird Song.
It almost took our breath away
we knew that we just had to stay.
Bit like an enchanted dream,
we had to wake,
and our leave we had to take
It will stay in our hearts forever long

We found a place of sweet repose
We smelt the fragrance of the rose
We heard the birdsong wafting there
We lived four days with ne'er a care
We shared our music and our song
We told our tales of life so strong
We treasured the sweet repartee
That filled our hearts with love and glee

Sweet scented stock and white linen and lace
Combine to make this such a magical place
Cats who are friendly and wee birds in cages
And dozens of hats worn by folks through the ages
Breakfast each morning - "Oh what a treat!"
Prepared with such care every morsel you eat
Afternoon tea on a bright silver tray
And snacks in the evening to finish the day
A host and hostess so secure in their mind
That the care they provide is the best you can find
The road may get tiring and the journey seem long
But it sure is like heaven when you get to 'Bird Song'

Where with her paintings so pleasing
Connie's tea tops each evening
And host Virginia & Larry
In good cheer do Tarry
The joy you receive
It lingers after you leave
And such a song of good will
Your whole heart it will fill

I spread a country garden
and dreamed that it was mine
Then stepped up on the front porch
and found a house divine;
With fresh cut flowers set in bloom
and singing birds in every room,
A tiny piece of heaven - quaint yet so fine!
