Chemainus offers many things to delight the eye and one of
the sights of the old town in Bird Song Cottage. But this special
retreat is more than just a bed and breakfast with an old fashioned
gingerbread facade and eclectic collection of everything from
hats to teapots.
Bird Song Cottage is full of memorabilia and special bits and
pieces that add up to give a guest the feeling they’re
in a place where dreams are allowed to come true.

My overnight stay in Chemainus was a never to be forgotten
experience. Whatever pre-conceived notion I had that the phrase"Romantic
hideaway," was nothing more than a hackneyed cliche evaporated
as I entered the portals of my very own self-contained replica
medieval castle , the Castlebury Inn.
Never before have I been inspired to photograph my breakfast.
